Mercedes wheels are very strong and durable because of the metals used for making them are of high quality. The overall strength of the wheels is very high and the reason behind this is the use of alloy materials which are enhanced with the stainless steel. One more thing of this wheel is important and that is its fittings, which are perfect. These wheels are made with so much perfection and precisely that there is no chance that it will not make up. Before launching these Mercedes wheels in the market, they are checked and tested hundreds of times. So no one should worry about the quality of the Mercedes wheels. Some more popular Mercedes wheels are:

Mercedes are high standard cars and they deserve best and high standard wheels also. These Mercedes wheels should be made up of high quality alloys and metals. It is not necessary that you should buy only expensive wheels. Who tells that expensive things are only good? These aftermarket Mercedes wheels are not expensive even then they are high standard wheels. These Mercedes wheels are cheaper than factory made wheels because the factory made wheels gets expensive advertising cost and this makes them expensive. And it is not a wise action to buy the same thing by giving extra money only for name and brand.

When you think of luxury cars and SUVs, you are very likely to include Mercedes Benz. Mercedes- Benz has a long tradition of production of various models, which are all renowned for their safety, endurance, reliability and of course their good looks. Moreover, when one thinks of excellence, you think of Mercedes-Benz. This car producing giant has shown itself to be one of the top manufacturers in the world for quality, high-end cars. No other company has been able to touch all the bases as Mercedes has in luxury cars, buses, trucks,  vans and SUV's, along with its major involvement motor car racing.

With over 100 years of experience in car production and with models such as A to E classes and more luxurious and sporty models such as SLK and CL classes. With recognition by Mercedes- Benz that status symbol and value for money go hand in hand, it has paved its way to be a competitive player in luxury cars producers. Various factors play into the production of Mercedes- Benz, with comfort, reliability and of luxury a benchmark for most of the cars. Interestingly though, Mercedes- Benz has not been oblivious to the other possible market- production of cheaper cars such as A class- that still embodies what Mercedes- Benz is all about.

Let’s take a look back at the history of Mercedes- Benz and recognise how this giant car producer came about. Mercedes- Benz is a German born company that produces cars, buses and trucks and it’s reputed to be one of the first automobile companies. Carl Benz and Gottlieb Daimler, through a partnership resulted in production of the first Mercedes- Benz cars.

Mercedes-Benz originated in the 1880s by two men, Gottlieb Daimler and Karl Benz. They invented the internal combustion engine powered vehicle. Ironically, the two men never knew each other despite their similar work, thus for years, their work in automobiles ran parallel and they also lived in the southwest of Germany. Gottlieb Daimler with the help of his friend, Wilhem Maybach created the four stroke engine in district of Suttgart called Cannstatt. Meanwhile, Karl Benz worked in Mannheim. Later, Daimler now working in Unterturkheim built and raced his cars, this how he came to meet an Austrian dealer- Emil Jellinek, who took an active interest in Daimler’s work that he entered Daimler’s cars into the races of which he won significant amount of. The cars were named Mercedes after Jallinek’s daughter.

Hardships in the automobile industry in the 1920s resulted in the merging of Gottlieb Daimler and Karl Benz’s companies. In 1926, an official merge resulted in the first production of the first Mercedes cars and trucks.

Since then, with interruptions during the second world war (when their car factory was used to produce weapons of war), the Mercedes Benz cars saw an expansion of this company, with franchises all over the world. In Australia, United States, Africa and other parts of the world have fully dedicated Mercedes Benz franchises that sell Mercedes Benz cars, trucks, buses and coaches.

One example of these franchises is the Macarthur Mercedes Benz(http://www.macarthurmb.com.au) situated in a NSW, less than an hour south-west of Sydney sells a wide range of Mercedes Benz cars such A, B, C and S class, and many other classes are available. Sportier versions of Mercedes Benz are also available. This franchise goes on further to provide services for all Mercedes Benz cars, such as maintenance and spare parts.

This signifies the great diversity that Mercedes- Benz has in terms of the cars produced. Thus undoubtedly putting Mercedes- Benz on the forefront of the cut throat world of automobiles. Therefore, based on this large range- whatever your choice of cars, vans, buses or SUV's, Mercedes has something that will suit your needs. The company comes from a very prosperous and colorful past, and creates a reputation for being at least one step in front of its competitors. Mercedes- Benz has demonstrated that as the needs of the consumer changes in terms of price, climate changes concerns and more importantly the increase in fuel prices poses challenges for the automobile industry, but more so for Mercedes-Benz since it tends to produce expensive cars which may not appeal to the mainstream society. However, the continued innovation by Mercedes- Benz in terms of design and other important features, continue to make it a force to be reckoned with in the automobile industry. Producing a car for the driver, without losing focus on their goal of power and reliability. The racing side of Mercedes has also picked up in 2005 with the winning of many of the years racing. Mercedes-Benz, as a company, is strong, and they are going to be strong for many years to come.

Expert Cleaning Guidelines for Custom Wheels

October 14th, 2009 john Posted in Uncategorized No Comments »

From stone wheels of primitive times to the sparkling alloy or chrome wheels of the 21st century, wheels have come a long way in deciding the appearance of a vehicle. Gone are the days when riding a vehicle was considered a mere necessity. With latest technological offerings, the emphasis on style and luxury now matters the most. One can customize his vehicle’s wheels by choosing steel wheels, chrome wheels, alloy wheels, spoke wheels, antique chrome wheels or the even powder-coated ones. Investing in custom wheels costs around $1500 to $1600. When such cost is involved, its proper care and handling also becomes essential.

Handling of your custom wheels chiefly relates to its cleaning techniques. Wheels should be cleaned on a regular basis as they catch up maximum dust and dirt in comparison to other parts of the vehicle. The brake pads attract maximum dust to the wheels; the rest comprises of dirt, tar, oil, and roadway gunk. Weekly cleaning of your custom wheels not only sparkles up your vehicle’s appearance but also protects it from further damage.

The cleaning process should be initiated only after reading through the manufacturer’s guidelines. The kind of metal used in the wheel should be taken note of. Chrome wheels need more cleaning than the steel ones. Nevertheless, all wheels do require quality detergent and cleaners to get rid off every stain. Water should be used in plenty to prevent any trace of oxidation. Once the cleaning is over, get your wheels a protective polish that complements the metal in your custom wheel. Use of harsh or abrasive materials should be avoided as they can damage the wheel finishing.

Another point to be kept in mind is the temperature of your custom wheels. The cleaning should be done once the wheels have cooled down. It’s always better to clean the wheels in the shade as hot and sunny exposure can cause cleaners to induce adverse effect on your vehicle.

Cleaning your custom wheels should begin in a step-wise manner. Begin cleaning the rim wheel with a brush to reach the spokes and the far-ending places. The tires should be cleaned next and polished with a protective coating, which helps prevent cracking and drying out of the rubber. Once the tires are polished, the entire process can be wrapped up by polishing the custom wheel.

Easy and convenient, custom wheels can be cleaned without any fuss by keeping in mind some of the necessary guidelines. So get set to clean your vehicle like an expert- with these cleaning tips, a dazzling vehicle and envious glances are guaranteed!

Get On Your Bike – Bicycle Buying Guide

October 14th, 2009 john Posted in Uncategorized No Comments »

Bicycles can be used for a number of purposes, including recreation, fitness, transportation and sports. If you are planning on purchasing a new bike, consider the terrain you will be riding on as well as your body weight. Are you finding it difficult to choose a new cycle? Go through this buying guide for exhaustive information on bicycles and make the right choice.
What types of bicycles are available?
Different types of bicycles, such as BMX, road, racing, touring, comfort, kids, womens, tandem and more, are available for sale. Here is an in-depth look at some popular models.
Road Bikes:
Road bikes are built for paved roads. They have thin tires, dropped handlebars and lightweight frames made of aluminum or carbon. The majority of these cycles have 21 speeds. Sport bikes, touring bikes, racing bikes, triathlon bikes, cruisers and choppers also fall under this category.
Mountain Bikes:
Mountain bikes are durable enough to withstand serious off-road racing. Sturdy frames, strong brakes, flat handlebars and 26-inch wheels make these bikes highly popular. Their low gears assist you in off-road racing, especially when going uphill and riding through mud. These cycles are heavy and can withstand rough handling. In a few models, the front suspension and rear suspension offer comfort, even while riding over uneven ground.
Comfort Bikes:
These bikes are good for beginners. Comfort bikes come with adjustable vertical handlebars, comfy seats, 26 inch wide and low pressure tires and suspension forks. They are made for short rides on well-maintained bike paths.
Hybrid/Cross Bikes:
These all-purpose bicycles combine the features of road and mountain bikes. They have a wide gear ratio, upright handlebars and narrow tires. Their frames are lightweight, making these perfect for pavement riding and minor off-road racing. Hybrid/cross bikes usually come with mudguards.
Recumbent Bikes:
If you cannot handle the physical strain associated with traditional bicycles, consider recumbent cycles. These bikes can go fast and provide comfortable seating. However, they do have some pitfalls. They are expensive compared to most standard bikes and their transportation by car may prove to be more difficult as well, especially long wheelbase models.
BMX Bikes:
BMX (Bicycle Motocross) bikes owe their invention to the popularity of motocross dirt bike racing. These bikes can be ridden through woods or around dirt-tracks. Though BMX cycles resemble mountain bikes, their wheels and frames are comparatively smaller. These bikes are suitable for kids and young riders. BMX racing bikes are built for racing on dirt tracks. BMX freestyle bikes are designed for doing tricks whereas BMX dirt jumping bikes are made for getting airborne on dirt tracks.
Chopper Bikes:
These bikes are based on chopper motorcycles. Chopper bikes feature wide rear tires, large cushioned seats and extended handlebars. These bikes are not recommended for off-road racing.
Womens Bikes:
Womens bicycles are smaller, designed to suit the build of the average woman. They have narrow handlebars, short top tubes and wide saddles.
Kids Bikes:
Is your child pining for a bicycle? Compact bikes with small frames are ideal for children. These bikes are easy to ride and durable. Many kids bicycles come with training wheels attached. Other cycles give you the option to attach separately sold training wheels. Go for kids bikes with spoke guards and coaster brakes that allow children to stop when pedaling backwards.
Tandem Bikes:
Do you want to make cycling more fun? Get a tandem bike that accommodates two or more people at one time.
What are other factors to consider when purchasing a bike and getting into the rewarding sport cycling
Frame Materials:
Frames are made of different materials depending on the type of bicycle.
Steel
The most commonly used frame material is steel. Chromoly (chromium-molybdenum steel) is lighter than carbon steel, but both are strong and durable.
Carbon Fiber
These strong and lightweight frames offer a good ride.
Titanium
Titanium is one of the most rugged, durable and costliest frame materials you can get.
Aluminum
Aluminum is a stiff and strong material. Aluminum frames are good for riders looking for lightweight bikes.
Suspension:
Hybrid, comfort and mountain bikes feature suspension forks. Forks assist you in riding over rough tracks more easily and comfortably.
Wheels:
Wheels play a vital role in bikes. Single-alloy hubs with rubber axle seals, few spokes and sealed bearings are recommended. Stainless steel spokes and aluminum rims are lightweight and rust free.
Gears:
Gears are crucial to ride on uneven surfaces. On flat surfaces, only 3 or 4 gears are needed. When it comes to hills and challenging terrain, a bike with a 21, 24 or 27 speed drivetrain is necessary. Go for bikes with gears that are easy to shift.
Brakes:
Most bikes are equipped with either rim brakes (V-brakes), linear brakes or hub brakes. Disc brakes, the latest brake type, provide brilliant braking and low maintenance, but are expensive.
Seats:
Look for anatomical shapes, flexible frames, gel padding and cushioning springs in your seats.
What accessories are available for bicycles?
If you are getting a new bicycle, you should check out the following accessories. Some accessories are absolutely necessary, while others are strictly for your own convenience.
Helmets:
Helmets are vital accessories to avoid head injuries. They come in kid and adult sizes as well as many colors.
Locks:
Protect your bicycle from theft with a bike lock. Locks are highly recommended if you plan on leaving your bicycle in any public area unattended.
Flat Kits:
For long rides, it is wise to carry a flat kit and a small frame-mounted pump to fill your tires with air. The kit should include a new tube, basic patch kit, tire iron, wrench, rag and small seat bag.
Pumps:
To fill your tires with air whenever you need, buy bicycle pumps.
Computers and Monitors:
A cyclocomputer is a digital speedometer that shows speed, distance and time traveled during your bicycle ride. High-end models come with GPS functions and can measure your heart rate and power output.
Mudguards:
Keep yourself and your bike clean with mudguards.
Baskets and Panniers:
Attach baskets and panniers to your bike to carry heavier loads.
Covers/Storage:
Protect your bicycles with cycle covers and storage solutions, such as lightweight aluminum storage stands.
Carriers:
For small cars, carriers (also referred to as bike racks) that attach to the roof are ideal. For big cars, like vans an SUVs, use carriers that attach to the rear of your vehicle.

The Loud Crash of the Cymbals

October 13th, 2009 john Posted in Uncategorized No Comments »

This truly is a unique and very different instrument. It is not one that can play different tunes and does not offer a wide range like other musical instruments do. One will often wonder where the idea for this particular instrument came from. It is simple, unique and one that continues to be used in music today. They have also been used for a variety of other purposes, including in marching bands and concert bands. It has even become a typical piece of the modern drum set or drum kit that drummers use. Cymbals are made out of different alloys, and there are many different kinds of cymbals created that have different sounds.
Cymbals are a member of the percussion instrument family and are used in just about any musical genre and are an instrument that has been around for longer than most are aware. In fact, evidence of the use of cymbals has been found in ancient Egypt, which are very similar to the ones we create today. It also appears that ancient Persians made and used cymbals, which they made out of brass. Even the Greeks appeared to have used bell-shaped cymbals. Of course, the cymbals made today are more complex than the ones made in the past.
Besides the fact that cymbals are made out of different alloys, they are comprised of three different parts that offer different sounds when hit with a drum stick. The part of the cymbal that is used to get a "ping" sound is known as the bow. The part of the cymbal that gives the highest register of sound when struck with the drum stick is known as the bell. The last and third part of the cymbal that creates the most vibrations and loudest sound when the drum stick hits it is known as the rim.
It is clear that cymbals have been used by many people for many different reasons; some of them possibly being of a ritualistic or ceremonial nature. They have become more complex in recent times as people have sought to create a perfect sound from them. Today, cymbals are more commonly seen in drum set or drum kits, though they have been used separately from the drum set or drum kit for different reasons. For example, when used in symphonies, hand held cymbals have been used when the sound is required for the piece; though it is not an instrument that is often played by a musician who doesn't play anything else.
They are a simple instrument and it may be surprising to some that it has managed to remain a useful instrument until now. It is also one that will probably continue to be used in the future. Its unique sound is required by many musicians, especially drummers in certain music genres. It really is amazing that something as simple and easy to play as the cymbal has managed to remain useful in music for as long as it has; perhaps it is its simplicity that has allowed to it to survive for so long.
